This position reports to the SCLHS Senior Manager of Net Revenue and is responsible for preparing the AR reserve calculations and related month end revenue analytics.
Â·prepares the A/R reserve calculations, including Contractual Allowances, Bad Debt and Charity;
Â·produces the monthly close schedules related to net revenue and net AR;
Â·assists in preparing for the annual financial audit as it relates to net A/R and net revenue
Â·produces analysis of payor performance:
Â·Provides various analyses specific to net revenue performance;
Â·Assists in creating the annual net revenue budgets.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Assists in preparing the calculation and analysis of Net Revenue and AR valuation within a health system that has net revenues of approximately $2.5 billion. The system consists of eight acute care hospitals, numerous provider clinics and related entities.
Â·Internally, interacts with the department managers, directors and CFOs/VPs Finance and revenue cycle/Finance employees at the system office and Care Sites.
Â·Externally, works with financial systems vendors and financial auditors.
Bachelorâ™s degree in finance or accounting required; Advanced business administration degree (MBA) or certified public accountant (CPA) preferred.
Three to five years of related experience, including â“ healthcare reimbursement/net revenue experience.
Experienced with financial analysis and modeling.
Experience with Crowe Horwath Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA) tool preferred but not required
Advanced analytical skills in areas of financial analysis;
Understanding of reimbursement mechanisms and contractual arrangements;
General knowledge of the fundamentals of hospital organization and administration, and laws applicable to healthcare financial management
