The Wound Ostomy Nurse Coordinator is responsible for providing patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The Wound/Ostomy Nurse Coordinator, in collaboration with the Wound Care Medical Director, will coordinate treatment to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care that includes goals, implementation of treatment, and evaluation and outcomes for patients throughout the organization. The Wound/Ostomy Nurse Coordinator will guide and supervise assigned personnel and collaborate with other health care professionals.The WON Coordinator will need the ability to articulate a compelling, actionable vision for the Wound Care program. They will serve as a clinical resource and consultant to other members of the interdisciplinary team. The WON Coordinator will demonstrate sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision making abilities that take evidenced based practiceinto consideration. The Coordinator will also be required to understand and monitor financial performance of the Wound Care program.
