This position works closely with our Analytics Architect team to create and execute advanced analytic solutions. The position is a consulting position focused on architecture, the analytics stack, and methodology not focused on a specific application or domain therefore not an application analyst. The position will use modern tool sets such as (Tableau and Alteryx) utilizing new analytic architectures to build these new solutions. They will also be responsible for migrating current EPIC reporting workloads into the new paradigm. This position will also move beyond Epic data and take a holistic approach to providing solutions that include other data domains like (Lawson, Kronos, Cactus, etc). This is a consultative role that provides guidance and execution on data models, data architecture, and EPIC design patterns in partnership with our business analytic partners and IT teams.
Leverages knowledge of the organizationï¿½s information, application, and infrastructure environment as well as the current technology landscape to design a holistic and optimized analytics platform.
Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flows in EPIC to meet analytic needs.
Recommends workflow and application changes for improved quality, safety or efficiency and works through the necessary governance structure for approvals.
Manages projects and initiatives. Responsible for managing completion of work, meeting deadlines, and providing deliverable to the customer. Manages projects, schedules and facilitates meetings as necessary to complete assignments.
Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
Leverage new tools (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) to build data focused solutions and visualizations.
Build data sets, views, stored procedures or new data structures to support the needs of the analytic solution
Work with Analytic Architect team and business on rapid response teams to whiteboard and implement new solutions in an Agile framework. Manage data dissemination organization wide through an enterprise solutions (Tableau Server).
Be able to participate and support an on call schedule, based on department needs.
Leverage new tools (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) to build data focused solutions and visualizations. Work with Analytic Architect team and business on rapid response teams to whiteboard and implement new solutions in an Agile framework. Manage data dissemination organization wide through an enterprise solutions (Tableau Server).
Provide consulting on architecture, the analytics stack, methodology, domain knowledge, and validation to other application analyst teams.

Bachelorï¿½s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, Business Administration, Statistics, or other related field
Equivalent work experience in a related area may be considered in lieu of education.
ï¿½ Masterï¿½s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, or Statistics - will also take other majors with experience in Healthcare analytics
Epic Certification in analytic modules (Clarity, Workbench, etc), or the ability to achieve Epic Certification or proficiency within 6 months of the start of formal Epic Certification or proficiency training.
Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or comparable certificate
More than 5 years and less than 7 years
SQL, BOE, Reporting Workbench, KBSQL, or other structured relational database toolsets.
Ability to write project requirements, specifications. Ability to create process and data models.
Knowledge of data visualization standards and methodologies, and data reporting.
Strong communication skills. Ability to lead meetings and presentations with business partners.
Relational database and SQL query experience, including data wrangling (cleaning, blending).
More than 7 years and less than 10 years
SQL, SAS, or other modern toolsets (Tableau, Alteryx, etc.).
Has strong critical thinking skills and the ability to relate them to the healthcare challenges facing SCL Health
Shows strong knowledge of basic and advanced prediction models.
Possesses a combination of creative abilities and business knowledge.
Possesses strong exploratory analysis skills.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to bridge the gap between data science and business management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
ï¿½ Healthcare data industry experience ï¿½ prefer both clinical (acute and ambulatory) and revenue cycle data familiarity.
ï¿½ Knowledge of national healthcare data set resources, and health data standards.
ï¿½ Strong analytics tools skills such as: Excel, Tableau, Alteryx and SAS.
ï¿½ Knowledge of data visualization standards and methodologies, and data reporting.
ï¿½ Strong communication skills. Ability to conduct meetings and other define tasks.
ï¿½ Possesses a working knowledge of statistics, programming and predictive modeling.
