HS Assistant Clinical Professor Location: Children’s Hospital Oakland
Description: Primary responsibilities will be devoted to pediatric dermatology clinic, inpatient consultation and procedures such as excisions and laser treatments. Will teach residents in pediatric dermatology clinic and in the inpatient setting. This position involves co-managing complex medical dermatology patients with other pediatric subspecialists and with UCSF Pediatric Dermatology subspecialty clinics (e.g. Birthmarks and Vascular Anomalies Clinic). Participation in weekly departmental Dermatology Grand Rounds at UCSF and presentations at local, regional and national meetings is expected. Applicant will participate in the administrative operation of the unit and serve on departmental committees. There are opportunities for clinical research.
Requirements: Board certified in Dermatology and board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Dermatology. Knowledge of systemic therapies in pediatric skin diseases. Physician with demonstrated excellence in patient care and teaching. Scholarly activities such as contributions to clinical research, book chapters, and journal publications are preferred.
Start Date: Anticipated September 2018 Salary: Negotiable
