The Department of Pediatrics at the University at Buffalo, UBMD Pediatrics (faculty practice plan) and Oishei Children's Hospital are actively recruiting a full-time faculty position in the Division of Gastroenterology (Digestive Diseases and Nutrition Center). This position will have a hospital appointment through the free-standing Oishei Children's Hospital, Kaleida Health System and a university appointment with the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Record of extramural funding would be a strong plus with the availability of protected time to conduct research. Digestive Diseases and Nutrition Center (DDNC) runs a vibrant clinical research program. The division's clinical and research agendas are supported by nurse practitioners, endoscopy nurses, research nurses and dietitians. The DDNC provides comprehensive digestive and nutrition healthcare for children and adolescents of Western New York, Norther Pennsylvania and the Southern Tier with a very active procedural area including endoscopy, capsule endoscopy and impedance pH probes.

Must hold a medical degree and be board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology.
Capable of ensuring a high level of cooperation and communication among his/her faculty and staff with strong credentials in at least 2 of the academic areas of clinical care, teaching and research.
