The Division of Cardiology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine are recruiting a full-time pediatric cardiologist to serve as Director, Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging. The desired candidate has the clinical leadership and research mentorship experience in 2D/3D echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, advanced functional analysis and cardiac MR/CT required to lead a high-volume (~18,000 studies/year) academic echocardiography laboratory, telemedicine enterprise, and fetal care network, as well as to sustain a robust clinical and translational imaging partnership with the Department of Radiology.
Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO degree, maintain board certification in Pediatric Cardiology, and be eligible for an Illinois medical license. Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States. The position includes an academic appointment of Associate Professor or Professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University on the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.

The Heart Center at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (ranked #6 among top children's hospitals and #11 among pediatric cardiac programs in USNWR) has dramatically expanded over the last 5 years and includes 36 full-time attending cardiologists, nine general cardiology fellows, two senior CICU fellows, Advanced Imaging and Heart Failure/Transplant fellows, three pediatric surgeons, an accredited congenital heart surgery fellowship program, and a dedicated cardiac anesthesia service. Our Cardiac Imaging Laboratories includes 15 fulltime pediatric cardiologists who work in collaboration with 3 full-time radiologists. The Director of Cardiac Imaging will serve as a member of the Heart Center Executive Committee, directly oversee associate lab directors, mentor junior faculty and is responsible for all aspects of cardiac imaging operations (including exam performance and interpretation, quality improvement initiatives, sonographer and fellow education, CME activities and development of research infrastructure). Opportunities exist for clinical research and collaboration through the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern Medicine and the Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute of Chicago.

Cardiac intensive care services are provided in the stat-of-the-art 36-bed Regenstein Cardiac Care Unit.
