A Postdoctoral Fellowposition is available under the supervision of Drs. John Devincenzo and AbbasBabajani-Feremi in the MEG and high-density EEG (hd-EEG) Lab at the Universityof Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital(LCH). This postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for pre-processing andanalysis of structural MRI (sMRI), Diffusion-Weighted Imaging (DWI), and hd-EEGdatasets that have been collected from healthy children and infants withcongenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. He/she will also assist in hd-EEGdata collection. In addition, he/she will be responsible for developing andvalidating machine learning approaches for prediction of neurological andneuropsychological outcomes based on the results of neuroimaging modalities andclinical information. The initial appointment will be for one years, with thepossibility of extension.
Previous experience in multimodal neuroimaging (EEG/MEG, MRI, fMRI, and DWI)
Extensive experience in machine learning
Evidence of independence in research and publication
Knowledge of infectious diseases
Good public speaking and presenting skills
Past experience in and enjoys teaching
The MEG and hd-EEG Labat the UTHSC/LCH is pursuing cutting-edge research and the application ofneuroimaging modalities in patients with neurological or other conditions. TheLab has access to two 3T MR scanners, MEG, hd-EEG, intracranial EEG (iEEG), andTMS facilities. Access to clinical population is available on-site at the LCH.There are excellent technical support staff and research personnel. The Lab isequipped with several workstations dedicated to neuroimaging data processing.
