The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will provide leadership for the pharmacy staff by outlining effective clinical approaches while demonstrating pediatric clinical pharmacy expertise. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will interacts with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create, implement and monitor drug therapy policies, practices and services. This position is responsible for assuring quality pharmaceutical care is provided by a competent staff and will directly provide patient care as necessary. In addition, the Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for creating and sustaining a superior learning environment for pharmacy residents and students and will represent the department of pharmacy through collaboration with multidisciplinary committees, teams and individuals in order to continuously improve the use of medications in the Cook system.
Graduate from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy is required
Experience: Must have completed a PGY 2 residency (pediatrics or health-system pharmacy administration) or have a minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical practice with demonstrable clinical and leadership skills or have advanced clinical/leadership training
Texas Pharmacy license or eligible
BCPPS certification is required within 1 year of employment
Prior pediatric hospital pharmacy leadership experience is strongly preferred
