A postdoctoral fellowposition is available in the laboratory of Dr. Glen Palmer within the FungalPathogens Group in the Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics (CET) Unit of theUniversity of Tennessee Health Science Center to contribute to our NIH-fundedstudies on antifungal discovery and molecular mechanisms of antifungal drug resistance.Highly motivated applicants with a strong background in microbiology, molecularbiology, and/or biochemistry and a record of productivity are encouraged toapply. The UT Fungal Pathogens Group is part of the UTHSC Center ofExcellence for Pediatric Experimental Therapeutics housed in state-of-the-artfacilities and includes four NIH-funded investigators in the area of medicalmycology ensuring a rich and collaborative research and trainingenvironment.
The Palmer lab is in theCollege of Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Campusin Memphis, Tennessee within a vibrant academic biomedical community thatincludes Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, St. Jude Children's ResearchHospital, and the University of Memphis. Excellent facilities and careerdevelopment opportunities exist for post-doctoral fellows in the department andacross campus.
