The University Of Maryland School Of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible physician faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Ideal candidates have had chief residency or significant teaching experience and a strong interest general pediatrics and in improving care for underserved children. The position will involve clinical and teaching work in the Pediatrics at Midtown (PAM) practice, the primary site for the Department's residency training program. PAM has recently achieved re-certification as Level-3, NCQA-designation. All PAM physicians participate as preceptors in the ACGME-accredited residency and medical student training programs. While the primary clinical role will be in the outpatient practice, there is the opportunity for a small amount of adolescent medicine, NICU follow up, and/or inpatient clinical work.
The University of Maryland Children's Hospital is located in downtown Baltimore, and the Midtown location is approximately 1 mile north of the hospital. Both are close to Baltimore's many outstanding attractions, from fine arts and orchestras to professional sports teams, first-class dining and shopping, and numerous historical sites. Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City are within easy reach, as are beaches to the East and mountains to the West. Educational excellence abounds, as do family-friendly neighborhoods and urban living options.
Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
