The Nurse Educator, Neuroscience Programs will be responsible for:
Providing nursing professional development expertise as an educator, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher through the processes of collaboration, consultation, facilitation and education
Supporting the development of the bedside nurse through knowledge to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidenced based neuroscience nursing practice, including neuro-oncology
Incorporates principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs
Creating a professional nursing climate to meet the needs of the diverse unit and global needs of the Boston Children's Hospital system
Developing, managing, and implementing programs for a wide variety of educational initiatives including program development, planned and real time educational offerings/support to advance clinical practice, specialty certification, leadership development, instruction and evaluation with emphasis on nursing orientation and professional development at the program level
Demonstrating well developed communication skills, both written and oral, comfort with technologies, simulation and advanced skills in clinical pediatric care, education, and evidence based practice tools and techniques
To qualify for this position you must have...
MSN in Nursing education or currently enrolled in MSN Nursing Education Program
5 years of nursing
Certification in Neuroscience Nursing preferred
Clinical educator or nursing instructor experience required
Leadership and pediatric experience as well as project management experience preferred
Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, comfort with technologies and advanced skills in clinical pediatric care, education, and evidence based practice tools and techniques
The ability to be flexible, to innovate, and display enthusiasm and passion for the role
