Summary: Jobs in this family are responsible fordeveloping, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying of applicationsand related information technologies. In addition, they are responsiblefor the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, aswell as hardware and software components. This role provides consultingservices regarding how to integrate information technologies into clinical andbusiness processes and the effective application of industry and organizationaltechnology standards.
This position is an emerging information technologyprofessional within the Systems Analyst family. This position participates inthe implementation, testing, installation and support of clinical and businessapplications. Expected activities include but are not limited to:
Modify applications as needed to meet user requirements.
Define and develop of reports.
Own and/or Participate in application upgrades, updates, configurationand optimization
Own and/or Participate in the resolution of problems andissues associated with installed applications and related informationtechnologies.
Diagnosis of failures encountered in application softwareand related technologies.
Proactive in identifying future business needs andrequirements
Coordinate and contribute effectively to the implementationof large scale IT projects
Quality control (thorough testing using different testingtypes) of all application implementations/enhancements prior to release tocustomers.
Maintains an awareness of vendor and industrydevelopments/plans in area(s) of responsibility, communication anddocumentation of all relevant items and activities.
Actively participate in Annual fiscal budgeting process
Analyze, develop and support III party applicationsintegration with EPIC Tapestry for Health Plan
Mentor and coach other Analysts in problem analysis andresolution efforts
Communicate with IT and management staff in the evaluationand selection of prospective IT systems that support current and III partyapplications
Provide on-call support
Investigate complex system errors and/or failures andcoordinate the resolution of these issues.
Utilize project management skills for leading the planning,testing scripts updates, reviewing of release notes, testing workflow and buildchanges for quarterly updates and system upgrades.
Position requires at least 3+ years of direct experience anda high school diploma or equivalent.
A BA/BS degree in IS or Business is strongly preferred.
May have an equivalent combination of education and/orexperience in lieu of education and/or experience stated above.

Preferred Experience / Specialized Skills:
Health plan administration experience
Experience with documentation, workflow design, and productconfiguration in a managed care organization
Ability to actively participate in all project phasesincluding design, build, validation, implementation and optimization
Knowledge of technical applications and interfaces typicallyused in managed care environments
Familiarity with health plan operational workflows
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact withall levels of the organization
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
Relevant Information Technology certifications preferred.
