The Cardiology Genetic Laboratory at Heart Institute, University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital has availability for postdoctoral fellow (PhD and/or MD) with expertise in standard molecular and cellular biology techniques and functional genomics to study genetics, molecular mechanisms, and pathogenesis of cardiomyopathies, heart failure and rhythm disturbances. The research combines genetic studies, cell and iPS cell culture, cardiomyocyte production from different cell sources and animal model studies, as well as basic molecular, biochemical and physiologic studies. The selected candidates will be actively involved in all aspects of these studies.
We value a research environment with an emphasis on personal and work ethics, respect to others, good communication skills and productive collaboration.
