Nuclear Medicine is a branch of the radiology department that introduces small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose and treat various diseases. The medicine helps determine the severity of diseases such as many types of cancers, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurological disorders and other abnormalities. Nuclear medicine also includes therapeutic procedures to treat cancer and other conditions that affect the thyroid gland. As a Nuclear Medicine Registered Nurse you will play an essential role in providing a caring environment for patients and saving those in emergency situations.
Associate Degree required
Bachelor Degree desired
Must obtain Bachelor degree in Nursing within 3 years of employment date.
Current license as Registered Nurse in Florida
ACLS Certification, gained within 1 year of employment
