Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a Joint Commission approved and state licensed facility for 97 beds, which includes pediatric units, adolescent girls, adolescent boys, and MISA (Mental Illness Substance Abuse) unit. We are committed to providing youth with compassionate treatment that encourages self-responsibility and personal growth. Lincoln Prairie provides treatment to children and adolescents (ages 3-17) that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Lincoln Prairie offers an array of outpatient programs. We provide educational programs, enhanced Occupational Therapy services, Recreational Therapy, Art and Music Therapy, while utilizing a holistic treatment approach.
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist/Assistant to support Lincoln Prairie's mission. The Human Resources Generalist/Assistant performs a variety of both HR administrative support and generalist tasks in the areas of recruitment, pre-employment, orientation/onboarding, HRIS, personnel file management and will assist with other administrative support tasks and/or HR-related projects as assigned.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
Manage job posting process and open position control grid.
Schedule and participate in recruitment events upon request.
Facilitate candidate communications throughout the recruitment and selection process.
Track all pre-employment applicants to ensure that the hiring process is proceeding in an efficient manner, including communicating the process with applicants.
Conduct background screenings for all new hires per company policy.
Ensure all new employees successfully pass a drug screen and physical per company policy.
Ensure all initial employment paperwork for all new hires is completed and that information is entered in Lawson, when applicable.
Create, organize and file new hire personnel, training and medical files.
Create and organize orientation binders.
Communicate new hire and orientation information prior to start date with payroll, reception, etc.
Verify licenses of all new and existing employees through the appropriate licensing board, when applicable. Maintain primary source verification in files.
Update HRIS System (Lawson) in a timely and accurate manner, including PAFs, address changes, direct deposit changes and tax changes.
Process terminations in a timely, complete manner. This includes processing the PAF, updating relevant spreadsheets, pulling employment files, scheduling exit interviews, and communicating to other departments. Closeout to be completed within one week of termination.
Create, maintain and audit personnel and medical files on all employees and file all paperwork in a timely manner.
Complete garnishments in a timely manner.
Maintain all HR tracking spreadsheets including but not limited to license renewal, recruitment, onboarding and evaluations.
Monitor performance evaluation completion for 90 day and annual evaluations.
Communicate with the Director of Human Resources on all personnel matters outside the realm of expertise.
