The manager collaborates with the Director of Therapy Services and administrative leadership, departmental, and medical staff to help identify future opportunities, define the direction of therapy services, and develop and implement plans to achieve established goals, including efficiency, productivity and quality of care. Develops and implements departmental specific standards, policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of care and services. This position manages the daily operations of the designated service area of Therapy Services department including regulatory compliance, oversight of patient scheduling, equipment and supply inventory, and staffing including hiring, training and performance evaluations.
Graduate of an accredited school of physical or occupational therapy or related field.
Current Texas physical therapist or occupational therapist license or credentialing in related field.
Current BLS certification.
Minimum of 3 years of varied and progressive therapy experience including supervisory experience with an increasing level of administrative responsibility.
Evidence of clinical specialization in orthopedics, pediatrics, sports medicine or a related field is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to determine appropriate course of action in complex situations.
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and is attentive to detail.
Ability to handle difficult situations involving, patients, staff, physicians and others in a professional and collaborative manner.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
