This Per Diem - Care Companion will be responsible for:
Providing constant safety observation and care for a patient identified to be at risk to themselves, others and/or are in need of protective services, following established procedures and instructions under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in accordance with the individualized needs of the patient.
Observing patients for changes in behavior and/or condition, and reporting pertinent information to RN.
Maintaining a safe environment, accompanying patients to other departments throughout the hospital and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living and performs vital signs as directed by the RN.
Completing patient care documentation and administrative duties.
To qualify, you must have:
A High School level of education or equivalent.
Clinical Assistant Certification preferred.
Minimum of 1 year experience of Pediatric Care Companion/Sitter/Patient Observer or Clinical Assistant experience.
Availability to work 4 shifts in a 6 week period including 2 evening or night shifts and 2 weekends shifts.
