Director, ACE Scholar Services (Administrator II) California State University, San Marcos
California State University San Marcos seeks a Director for their ACE Scholar Services. The ACE Scholars Services (ACE) is a comprehensive program that supports former foster youth in their efforts to attend the university and successfully complete a bachelor's degree. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Student Academic Support Services (SASS), the Director plans, coordinates, and evaluates all phases of the ACE program, including the supervision of professional and student staff, targeted outreach to foster youth, and oversight of the program's application review and admissions process. Oversees the tracking and progress of students through intensive and extensive counseling, advising, and referrals to program and campus and community-based support services. The Director monitors and manages the program budget in conjunction with CSUSM Corporation. With support of the AVP for SASS, the Director coordinates with University Advancement to cultivate donors, raise funds, and develop grant proposals for program development and works to instill a campus climate that supports the success of former foster youth.

Minimum Qualifications include:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work by the Council on Social Work Education;
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in working with diverse populations in a social work field, which includes a minimum of four (4) years leading and/or supervising the work of others.
Work experience with transitional aged youth who have been in the foster care system. Social work license from the state of California (LCSW).
Demonstrated commitment and ability to advance the University's goals in the areas of diversity and inclusive excellence. Work experience in an academic setting, ideally Public Higher Education.
Salary and Position Status
Full-time position with benefits.
Salary Range: Salary commensurate with experience, knowledge and skills. This position is an Administrator II in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President.
