This position is in the Department of WUCA Blue Fish Pediatrics.
Position will join busy WUCA primary care pediatric practice located in west St. Louis County to provide intake evaluations and assessments, cognitive behavioral therapy, group education sessions, and coordination of mental health resources for children and adolescents.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts cognitive behavioral therapy and counseling for children and families in the office. Prepares reports and maintains necessary records in EPIC. Provides telephone follow-up contact as necessary. Communicates with other providers in the practice via EPIC.
Conducts intake evaluations for anxiety, depression, ADHD. Assesses complex behavioral issues. Recommends treatment plans and identifies resources.
Acts as a resource for patients/families: identifies and cultivates relationships with community resources; assists patients/families with access to resources for psychiatry, family counseling/complex divorce issues, educational testing, substance abuse treatment, eating disorders/nutrition counseling, gender dysphoria, play therapy.
Conducts group education sessions in the office for patients and families.
Ph.D. In Psychology and current state licensure required.
PsyD or PhD in clinical psychology, child psychology, or cognitive psychology.
Minimum of 3 years counseling or therapy experience with children and adolescents.
Familiarity with EPIC preferred.
Working knowledge of computers, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills; team oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment.
The hiring range for this position is $29.25 - $37.30 per hour.
