The Communications Associate Program Managerassists in planning, coordinating, executing and evaluating content forVanderbilt Kennedy Center (VKC) social media accounts. The scope ofresponsibilities include becoming knowledgeable about projects, purposes, goalsand audiences through collaboration and coordination with the VKCCommunications team, VKC projects and programs, and state and nationaldisability-related organizations and networks. Responsibilities alsoinclude maintenance of the VKC database to facilitate internal and externalcommunication and dissemination, and an active role in writing, editing andproofing VKC print and electronic communications.
Develop, implement and maintain VKC accounts on social media platforms that best meet VKC communication and dissemination needs, in compliance with VU and VUMC social media policies.
Design social media strategies, schedules, and campaigns; draft and post daily content; interact with audiences.
Coordinate with communication staff of VU/VUMC projects, state and national community partners, disability agencies, and state and federal networks to promote collaboration and communication in shared priority areas.
Assist VKC-affiliated faculty ad staff with social media, in compliance with VUMC and VU policies.
Monitor and analyze VKC electronic media for evaluation and reporting purposes.
Coordinate with VUMC and VU social media to maximize VKC branding and profile.
Maintain the VKC database.
Write, edit, proof and disseminate VKC print and electronic materials for a variety of internal and external audiences.
Staff the main VKC phone line, provide information and referral, and manage VKC general email.
Assist with updating VKC website.
Maintain VKC print material displays and provide materials to staff and faculty upon request.
Provide logistical support for VKC-sponsored and co-sponsored events.
Supervise and assign tasks to student worker(s).
Perform other duties as required.
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and< 1 year relevant experience
