Imagine the despair a family feels after receiving a serious diagnosis for their child? What about the financial burden of travel and temporary living on top of medical expenses? You can help ensure a comfortable resting place in a supportive environment for the parents and families of children receiving treatment at local pediatric hospitals.
Each year, Ronald McDonald House Charities(House) touches the lives of 5,000 families and children by providing a place of refuge and peace. The House offers many of the comforts of home including restful places to sleep, spacious kitchens and dining rooms, play areas, a library, laundry facilities, and more. Volunteers from the community prepare home cooked meals for breakfast and dinner daily and a well-stocked pantry provides staples for guests. Each Ronald McDonald House is an independent 501c3 nonprofit and relies on community support, volunteers and generous donors to offer these enriching experiences at little to no cost to families.
Ronald McDonald House Charities is searching for a compassionate, service-minded CEO who will lead the organization to provide the best possible support solutions for families and improve the well-being of guest children. The CEO will be a strategic partner and foster collaborative relationships with staff, the board of directors, and key stakeholders including local area hospitals and McDonalds related entities to steward and grow long-term organizational sustainability. A key to success will be their approachable and engaging style, transparent leadership, and willingness to listen to and empower staff and volunteers.
The CEO will serve as the external face of RMHC and cultivate relationships with donors and the philanthropic community, media, and corporate partners. Over the next two years, the RMHC will be preparing for a capital campaign to expand our capacity and impact.
