Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of Associate's Degree, two (2) years of full time professional/paramedic experience. Certification/License in Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) or Paramedic Certificate. Certification to instruct EMT/Paramedic (Certified Lab Instructor, Certified Instructional Coordinator) courses.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience instructing in an EMT/Paramedic Certificate program. Additional two (2) years (4+) of professional service in an EMT/Paramedic service.
Brief Description of Duties: Supervise beginning Instructors and students in the EMT/Paramedic Certificate Programs.
Instructional support duties for specific training for EMT/Paramedic Certificate programs, to include examination of students to certify readiness for completion and board examination. Review materials and ensure that students are cognizant of various field conditions and duties.
Develop course material, develop criteria for and grade clinical skills according to most up-to-date examination materials.
Supervise and educate the intern instructors for the EMT/Paramedic program, ensure that all material is being delivered according to certification guidelines. Supervise course structure, design syllabi and supervise instructors and students as required.
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
This is a per diem appointment. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
