St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is seeking to hire a full-time, board eligible/board certified pediatric radiologist.
St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is a 189-bed, Magnet Certified, free standing pediatric hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With more than 200 pediatric experts on staff, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children combines top notch general pediatric care with a wide array of pediatric specialties here on our Philadelphia campus and in satellite and outreach offices throughout the region.
The St. Christopher’s Pediatric Radiology department is comprised of six radiologists who provide subspecialty pediatric radiology coverage for large portions of the Delaware Valley. The department provides services in all modalities, including radiography, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. Advanced MRI examinations are frequent, including neuroimaging, MR enterography, MR urography, fetal MR, and cardiac MR. Approximately 50,000 examinations were performed by the department in 2018. The department also employees a full-time interventional radiologist who provides care for interventional procedures.
The successful candidate will possess strong clinical skills with a high interest in teaching. Our academic affiliation is with Drexel University College of Medicine, in addition to affiliations with Temple University School of Medicine, and Albert Einstein Medical Center, providing many opportunities as a teaching hospital to mentor and to train the next generation of professionals in pediatric medicine. Along with mentoring several local radiology residency programs the section also offers an ACGME accredited fellowship in pediatric radiology. There is also an opportunity to pursue research interest, in particular as they relate to our multicultural community and clinical setting.
