This position is in the Department of Pediatrics Central Administration.� The position is located at St. Louis Children's Hospital.� This position is for the Medical School Campus.
Position plans, organizes and implements social work services for patients and families. Role will function in an outpatient setting, organizing and managing the social aspects of patient care for pediatric patients with complex care needs. Outpatient clinic will be located at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides psychotherapy services for patients and their families.
Works collaboratively with clinic staff to discuss patient care management.
Prepares psychosocial reports and maintains necessary records.
Schedules patient appointments and provides telephone follow-up.
Facilitates referrals and community resources for patients/families.
Verifies insurance coverage for patients.
Answers inquiries from patients/families about community resources.
Coordinate within the department/medical school patient care needs outside the clinic.
Master’s degree in Social Work required.
Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
Working knowledge of computers, verbal and written ability with organizational and interpersonal skills.
The hiring range for this position is $50,253 - $64,085 annually.
