Provides clerical support for all aspects of the patient's visit to the clinic and/or ancillary areas, performing such functions as on-line registration and case activation, interpretation of physician's orders, initiation of diagnostic request, admission routines, and cashiering/insurance related functions. Schedules appointments and diagnostic studies via the computerized appointment system in the clinics. Performs appointment-related clerical functions. Coordinates and performs front line office activities in an effective and efficient manner. Performs varied secretarial and administrative duties under the general supervision of lead personnel and assigned principals.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Geisinger in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Works under the supervision of the GMC-Sleep Disorders Center Supervisor and Service Line Administrative Director.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required. Requires 1 to 3 years clerical experience.
Minimum six months KAP experience required and/or minimum 1 -3 years secretarial experience required; clinic, medical office experience preferred.
Successful completion of Key Access Personnel (KAP) training during orientation period.
Proficiency with Epic, Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
