This Senior Managed Care Analyst - BCH and Physician Organizationwill be responsible for:
Reporting to the Director of Managed Care and assists in implementation of the jointly developed managed care strategy between Boston Children's Hospital and the Physicians Organization.
Maintaining, monitoring, and updating the hospital's Managed Care Contracting System.
Providing managed care contract analyses as well as recommendations for senior leadership on a regular basis including summarizing financial trends and impacts for Hospital, Physician Organization (PO), Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's Hospital (PPOC), and Boston Children's Hospital Physicians (BCHP).
Reviewing claim validation of hospital and physician fee schedules as well as for preferred provider arrangement claim settlements.
Working closely with the VP of Enterprise Contracting and Pricing to perform complex financial modeling as required as well as negotiating contracts and renewals. Preparing executive summaries for leadership communication and decision making.
Preparing and presenting various financial transactions, reports, and analyses related to the assigned function, which may include: operating financial statement, operating budget, inter company activity, financial analytics, and other sub ledger activity and schedules to Finance Committee and other Hospital leadership.
Educating and advising the department managers on the relationship of processing reports; trouble shooting, resolving problems, and reconciling balances, including providing written analyses, explanations and interpretations of all aspects of financial and budgeting processes.
Designing programs and maintaining databases to support and/produce various reporting, filing of third party cost reports and requests for ad hoc analysis.
Providing functional supervision and feedback to Analyst I including training, and reviewing details for accuracy and efficiency.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance or closely related field typically required and three to four years of previous related experience.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
