This position is in the Department of Pediatric Neurology. The position is located at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Position is responsible for coordinating the care of patients for a designated service throughout the continuum of care. Serves as a clinical resource in are of specialty.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Triage phone calls in busy Pediatric neurology Practice.
Coordinate and communicate all aspects of patient plan of care, including diagnostic tests, referrals to outside sources, discussion of diagnostic test/lab results with families and other health care providers, explanation of procedures/tests, and patient education.
Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures, diagnostic tests, and other processes related to direct patient care in clinic.
Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties including compliance with environmental safety regulation, infection control standards and quality assurance.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with 2 years of nursing experience.
Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with the Compact Act.
Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
Pediatrics and Neurology.
Remains consistent with current practice in specialty.
The hiring range for this position is $53,165 - $74,443 annually.
