Operational Manager – Acute Care Management – Hospital for Children
AdventHealth Hospital for Children seeks to hire Operational Manager who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Since opening our doors in 1908, Florida Hospital has offered one of the most comprehensive children's health programs in Central Florida. Today, we continue this legacy of pediatric excellence at the Magnet® recognized Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children. Our campus is home to 30 pediatric sub-specialties led by a team of 400+ nurses and physicians. We provide specialized care in various state-of-the-art settings, including an 81-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with private family-centered rooms, an Advanced Center for Pediatric Surgery handling nearly 4,000 cases each year, and one of the few pediatric oncology programs in the area. We're also Central Florida's only pediatric provider for bone marrow transplant, kidney transplant, Gamma Knife services, trilogy radiation and Level III epilepsy care. But perhaps most exciting of all, is that this is the first—and only—hospital to bear the Disney® name.

Manage and lead daily Care Management operations at location(s). Serves as primary point of contact for Executive Leadership and other departmental managers. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff
Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel
Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
Knowledge of Cerner; NaviHealth; Suncare; EOS: FirstLook; and Qlikview (Preferred)
Knowledge and skill in using CNO dashboard (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Nursing or other healthcare related field
One (1) year leadership experience
Three (3) years' experience in the functional area
Accreditive Care Management (Preferred)

Responsible for daily progress of operational imperative deployment
Provides management of daily operations and maintains department budgets and labor.
Manages the recruitment, retention, training, and competence of staff and analysts. Ensures the accuracy, timeliness, reliability, frequency, level-of-detail of staff work product.
Builds and maintains relationships across multiple disciplines to achieve common goals.
