Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Director-Corporate IT Systems.
In this role, the successful candidate The Director of Corporate IT Systems is accountable for realizing the potential of information technology within the Corporate Services domain (i.e., Finance, Supply Chain, Hyperion-Budgeting, Epsi-Cost Accounting, Real Estate, Facilities financial systems). The Director, Corporate IT Systems is responsible for: 1. Ensuring alignment between Corporate Services and IT strategic direction. Work with Corporate Services leadership to define the strategic IT direction consistent with Enterprise IT strategy, architecture, development and security standards and business-IT principles. Look for enterprise-wide opportunities to create value for NYU Langone Health Systems (NYULHS). 2. Managing the relationships between Corporate Services and IT. Stimulate, surface and shape demand for IT services. Facilitate the development of business cases, supporting domain-IT initiatives (including problem definition, potential benefits, initial scope and cost estimates); advocate for successful execution of key business-IT programs within the domain. Work closely with corporate leaders to research and identify potential innovative solutions to business processes. 3. Project Management oversight within Corporate Services. Manage Corporate Services solutions within the context of the evolving NYULHS. Enterprise Architecture to optimize IT investments and return on assets for NYULHS, particularly with PeopleSoft Finance & Supply Chain; ensure efficient, consistent, secure, interoperable and quality delivery of IT-enabled business solutions. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Corporate IT Systems and accountable lines to the Senior Directors and Directors in Corporate Services in Business and IT domains. The Director will provide direct leadership to Business Analysts, Solution Developers and Project Managers as they relate to PeopleSoft FSCM, Hyperion Budgets, Unifier, EPSI applications and other corporate solutions. The Director will hold Project Managers accountable for producing quality deliverables on-time and within budget. The Director will help Project Managers develop aggressive yet realistic project plans, secure needed resources, detect any signs of material variance from those plans, and resolve issues outside the control of individual projects. This position will also ensure that the systems will meet business expectations and be well documented and supported. The Director is a strategist, business manager, and evangelist for information technology in Corporate IT wing of the organization. As a strategist, the Director will help the Corporate Services Leadership Team discover justifying value for IT initiatives, develop strategic timelines, and determine overall budget and resource requirements. As a business manager, the Director will provide leadership to the IT teams as they develop system design, enhance workflows, test, train and implement. The Director will promote the strategic value of IT, maintain day-to-day communication with project teams, and bring transparency to business value as it is measured and realized. The Director will also cultivate vendor relationships pertinent to commercial software packages for their domain and maintain awareness of latest developments in key areas of responsibility. Manages single more complex function or location, gives input for planning, executes againstresource plans and budgets. Participates in and oversees staff responsible for the selection,customization, configuration, installation and support of technical solutions. Understands thework processes of business areas and oversees the collection of user requirements and thetranslation of them into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems.Responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, andmaintenance of information. Provides work direction and reviews work as needed.
Responsible for the overall IT strategy and roadmap of enterprise corporate function of the Health center in the vertical areas Finance, SupplyChain, Budget, Cost Accounting and Real Estate &Facilities.
Oversees over 20 IT staff and manages the enterprise-wide implementation and support of the PeopleSoft Finance and Supply Chain, Hyperion Budget systems.
Participates in staff meetings to keep informed on both business matters of the domain and IT matters of enterprise significance.
Creates a culture of innovation through involvement and engagement. Subject to joint performance reviews from both domain and MCIT leadership
Has an in-depth knowledge of theprinciples, theories, practices andtechniques for managing the activitiesrelated to planning, managing and implementing technology solutions.
Conforms to applicable IT common processes and standards.Abides within IT Security and Enterprise Architecture.
Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives in a timely manner.
Leverages IT services that are leveraged by other domains (QA, data center, Middleware, help desk, etc.) and create synergy between the domains through integrated and interface solutions.
Communicates detailed project status to direct leadership, appropriate sponsors and stakeholders including reasons why its succeeding or failing
Fosters collaboration and teamwork
Works closely with Finance, Real Estate Development and Facilities, HCM Business and IT Leadership Teams
Ensures compliance to contractual obligations
Responsible for proactively managing both operating budgets and capital budgets in accordance with NYULHS and MCIT policies
Manages the services of outside consultants effectively and ensures that services provided are clear and meet the expectations of end users; holds them accountable for outcomes that allow the efficient progress of the project according to established timeline
Effectively ensures that project timelines are established, meeting outcome and next steps are documented and follow through is implemented in order to keep the project on track.

Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a The minimum professional and educational background required: 1. Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Financial Accounting or Business with an information technology focus; Masters degree in a related discipline preferred 2 Minimum 10 years of experience in progressively responsible IT leadership in managing complex Finance, Supply Chain and budget related applications and systems. 3 Previous application management experience in corporate systems domain, including significant experience with PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain application modules, Hyperion Budgets and Epsi/Cost Accounting and reports. 4 Previous experience optimizing PeopleSoft applications for the end user experience 5 Previous successful experience implementing financial reporting software like OBIEE/OBIA/FCCS 6 Skilled communicator; able to convey complex technical ideas in clear business language 7 Able to influence and lead in a highly matrixed and collaborative business environment 8.Requires advanced technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes.
