Researchers at the Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience (LCN) are seeking a Clinical Research Manager to oversee the clinical research program in the cognitive neuroscience laboratory of Charles A. Nelson. The clinical research manager will be responsible for the overall management and function of several multi-site, longitudinal and clinical trial research projects. The manager will work closely with Dr. Nelson and the research team to ensure project aims are accomplished on budget and within the expected timeframe. The Clinical Research Manager is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the LCN.
This Clinical Research Manager I will be responsible for:
Overseeing LCN project research teams and activities
Maintaining key relationships with project collaborators and multi-site PIs.
Monitoring project spending, preparing progress and financial reports required by funding sponsors.
Assisting with new grant applications.
Monitoring regulatory activities of all projects (e.g. IRB, NIH, data repositories).
Coordinating project meetings and assisting with data transfer and sharing amongst research sites.
Assisting with a variety of clinical needs for the projects including training in various psychometric assessments (e.g. Mullen Scales of Early Learning).
Managing LCN personnel (research assistants, research coordinators, data manager, etc.).
Overseeing general LCN operational activities (hiring, assessing computer needs, space allocations, etc.).
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of relevant work experience, OR a Master's degree related to public health, pediatrics, psychology, or neuroscience and four years of relevant work experience.
Experience working with clinical populations and families highly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.
Possess keen attention to detail and time management skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, to work collaboratively with the project research team, multi-site collaborators and hospital administration.
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills including working with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Familiarity with SAS and SPPS preferred.
