The Clinical Research Informatics Team within our Research Computing Group provides a variety of services to our research community, including electronic data collection systems, various cohort discovery tools, and research data collaboration networks. Our projects are typically driven by researchers and completed in collaboration with other teams at BCH.
This EDC Platform Manager will be responsible for:
Managing BCH REDCap Research Electronic Data Capture System and Part 11 Compliant InForm database, which support multiple departments in the hospital and external collaborators.
Providing analytical and technical guidance to team members and clients. Identifying requirements, develops application design, coding, planing and executing testing, and ensuring that the application delivered meets specifications.
Creating all necessary documentation for code and applications and supports applications.
Providing application support, training and documentation to end users.
Recording decisions and purposes and applicable business rules. Preparing user documentation.
Developing and preparing reports for operations, senior management and other departments.
Administering departmental quality assurance program for compliance documentation.
Evaluating new data or reporting requirements and develops effective computing solutions. Contributing to the formulation of policies and procedures.
In order to qualify you must have:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Informatics or a closely related field with 3-4 years of experience.
Previous experience providing user support in a clinical research environment desired.
A positive attitude and ability to develop productive relationships with researchers, members of the Computational Health Informatics Program and members of the Information Services Department.
Knowledge of scripting and programming languages preferred.
Knowledge of SQL and a strong understanding of the fundamentals of SQL databases preferred.
