This is a full-time faculty position providing pediatric care to infants, children, adolescents, and youth in Doernbecher Children\u2019s Hospital\u2019s Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities of the appointee include the following;
Daily rounding in the ICU with the CVICU Medical Team \u2022Assist the attending physicians to provide oversight to all cardiac patients
Contribute to continuity for long term complex patients \u2022Assist the CICMD in developing epic order sets and care pathways
Participate in quality improvement efforts aimed at improving handoffs to other teams and improving continuity of care
Develop programs to improve the experience of care for the patient and family, including parental psychosocial support.
Work with PICU RN leadership to provide bedside RN support and training working towards defined cardiac competencies.
Attend and/or have leadership role in Cardiac Operations Committee.
This position will educate both in the clinical environment and through conferences, seminars, and interdepartmental activities in the region. There are opportunities for other scholarly activity and education. Faculty are also expected to participate as assigned in departmental and institutional administrative committees.
