The Division of Hospital Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting a full-time fixed-term open rank faculty physician to work as a pediatric hospitalist. Clinical responsibilities will include coverage of inpatient pediatric patients at the UNCREX Healthcare campus in Raleigh as well as consultation services on pediatric patients in the emergency department. Additional clinical responsibilities at Chapel Hill campus may include daytime service on pediatric wards and newborn nursery and in-house night coverage with direct patient care. The new UNC Children’s Specialty Clinic at Blue Ridge will provide complimentary pediatric subspecialty support and the opportunity for future development of additional inpatient pediatric services.

Education and Experience:
Applicants must be physicians board eligible/certified in pediatrics and should have broad clinical experience, a record of teaching excellence and interest in improving the care of hospitalized children. Ideal applicants would also have experience in quality improvement, medical education and a record of scholarship and education. Fellowship training in pediatric hospital medicine is desirable.
