Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with CCHP members and providers through outgoing telephonic outreach. Promotes positive customer relations through prompt, courteous, and professional service in this fast paced, high volume, customer centered environment. Additionally, will be responsible for answering incoming calls and responding to inquiries relating to providers, benefits, member accounts, other health insurance and health plan policies. Work closely all frontline staff, providers, and the member population to improve member engagement, leading to improved health outcomes. This position is responsible for applying appropriate engagement tactics to close care gaps, promote wellness screenings, and facilitate the completion of Health Risk Assessments (HRAs). Because of the diverse nature of our Member population and nature of assigned duties, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Associates degree in business, healthcare, human services/development, or closely related field preferred; high school diploma required.
Minimum of two (2) successful years of administrative experience required, preferably in Managed Care, Healthcare, or Customer Service.
Community Health Worker (CHW) preferred.
Must demonstrate excellent phone skills with ability to make outbound calls.
Must be bilingual with fluency in both English and Spanish with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must pass a Spanish proficiency exanimation within 30 days of hire.
Computer and data entry experience required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products (to include Word, Excel, and Office).
Ability to work well without direct supervision, independently and productively.
Must be highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Converting from temporary employment with Cook Children's Health Care System may be substituted for experience.
