The University Of Maryland School Of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics, has an opening for a board-certified/board-eligible full-time pediatric faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
The position will primarily involve clinical and teaching work at the Pediatrics at Midtown (PAM) practice, the primary site for the Department's residency training program. PAM is a Level-3, NCQA-designation Patient Centered Medical Home. All PAM physicians participate as preceptors in the ACGME-accredited residency and medical student training programs. While the primary clinical role will be in the outpatient practice (PAM), depending on the experience and interest in the candidate, there is the opportunity for clinical work in adolescent medicine, juvenile justice health care, newborn nursery, NICU follow up, and/or inpatient clinical work.
Ideal candidates have had chief residency or significant teaching experience and a strong interest general pediatrics or adolescent medicine and in improving care for underserved children. Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
The University of Maryland Children's Hospital is located in downtown Baltimore, and the Midtown location is approximately 1 mile north of the hospital. Both are close to Baltimore's many outstanding attractions, from fine arts and orchestras to professional sports teams, first-class dining and shopping, and numerous historical sites. Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City are within easy reach, as are beaches to the East and mountains to the West.
