Summary: The DataIntegration Engineer is responsible for developing, innovating, testing,maintaining, installing, and deploying interoperability solutions, middlewaretools and related integrated technologies for determining best-fit datainterchange and data integration. This position is an information technologyprofessional, providing proficiency in programming and technical development ofintegrated solutions. The Data Integration Engineer delivers data integrationsolutions across legacy, newly developed, and purchased environments. Thefollowing are key responsibilities of an integration engineer: developingsystem modifications and specifications; data mapping; establishing interfaces;developing and modifying code, functions, programs, routines, and storedprocedures to export, transform, and load data; meeting performance parameters;resolving and escalating integration issues; recommending adjustments asobjectives change; provides consulting services to application teams, vendorsand/or customers regarding how to integrate information technologies intoclinical and business processes; designing and evaluating new data interchangeformats; improving physical design; rewriting data policy, standards, andprocedures and transitioning such. Skills sets for an integration engineerinclude Interface Administration, Web Services, HL7, EDI, FTP, TCP/IP, etc.using an Integration Engine(s) and/or middleware tools for configuration,scripting and programming, MS SQL and SSIS.
Bachelor degree with three (3) or more years work experienceas a Programmer, Technical or Systems Analyst and at least one (1) yearexperience in integration/interface programming, relational databaseprogramming or relational database administration OR equivalent five (5)years of work experience with two (2) years related to integration/interfaceprogramming, system design/analysis, database administration and/orprogramming, and project leadership skills.
Experience in technical applications, scripting tools,report writing tools, form development tools, and web development tools such as.NET C#.
Experience in systems analysis and design required.
Experience in distributed process, multi system environmentand integrated network.
Must be able to effectively communicate with other CCHCSleadership, department managers, employees as well as the IT managers and staffof the Information Services department.
Experience in interfaces with XML or HL7 or FTP or TCP/IPrequired.
Experience in MS SQL and SSIS preferred. Experience inEDI a plus.
Epic Bridges certification highly preferred.
Epic certification is required within 6 months from offer, including2 test retakes.
If Epic certification/training is required, this positionmay require travel for the first three to five months, which will includeroughly one week out of town travel per month.
