The Division of Genetic Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington is recruiting an Academic Biochemical Geneticist at the level of a full time Assistant or Associate Professor without tenure (is commensurate with experience and qualifications), 12-month service period position, on the Clinician-Educator pathway. Responsibilities will include patient care (inpatient consultations, outpatient genetics clinics, regional clinics) and teaching of medical students and residents. Opportunities will be available for clinical research and collaboration with physician/scientists in the Seattle Children's Research Institute and basic scientists in the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington. Clinical services in the division are currently provided by four biochemical geneticists, one genetic counselor, three nurses, three dietitians, and one social worker. Anticipated start date is for July 1, 2019.
