The University of Washington, Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics & Hospital Medicine invites applications for a position as a faculty member in the full time clinical faculty track at the Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank. Academic rank at the time of appointment will depend on experience and qualifications. This is a 12-month service period.
The successful candidate will work in an outpatient pediatric teaching practice at a hospital-based academic teaching center. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain a practice of general pediatric patients, as well as a subset of children drawn from a population who have experienced adverse events, such as prenatal exposures or complex trauma. Many of these latter children will have histories of child welfare involvement or international adoption and may have behavioral health concerns or developmental disabilities. Clinical work in the fetal alcohol spectrum diagnostic clinic is also available.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Anticipated start date is August 2019.
