Job Description: The Division of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at Childrenâs Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine of USC is recruiting a Board Certified or Board eligible plastic surgeon with interest and experience in pediatric plastic surgery and gender affirmation surgery. The ideal candidate would assume a surgical leadership role in a well-established collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on the care of plastic, craniofacial, and gender affirmation patients. Further, the transgender program at CHLA is one of the largest and oldest pediatric programs in the nation.
Applicants would be expected to have surgical experience in craniofacial and/or pediatric plastic surgery fellowship training as there is a robust opportunity for complex pediatric microsurgery along with cleft lip and palate, vascular anomalies, and facial reanimation at one of the busiest craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery centers in the nation.Â Further, it would be an asset to have interest and experience in Â the full scope of transgender surgery including facial feminization, top and bottom surgery including microvascular reconstruction..
The successful candidate will join the large full-time faculty of the Keck School of Medicine of USC with their rank commensurate with experience and achievements. The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Keck School of Medicine is an expansive and elite training program spanning 9 academic centers in one of the most vibrant cities in the nation.
