Duties: As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the nurse in this role will provide nursing care to patients and families of the Pediatric Pulmonary Division.
The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to assess and meet the needs of the patient and family; plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; teaches patients and caregivers; orients colleagues and peers; and provides support to the pediatric pulmonary medical faculty and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Telephone triage will be the primary function and will include: triage calls from patients, families, clinicians and other healthcare team members.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all team members to improve patient outcomes. Active participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Candidate must be able to function with minimal supervision and be highly motivated to provide excellent care and patient advocacy.
Candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills relative to assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation
Candidate will be expected to demonstrate their ability to organize and manage multiple interventions simultaneously

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse to practice in the State of Michigan.
Minimum of three years of recent (within the past 5 years) clinical pediatric experience as a RN.

Demonstrated experience as RN with pediatric pulmonary population
Recent (within the past 5 years) ambulatory care experience inclusive of phone triage responsibilities
Demonstrated experience with quality improvement initiatives
Professional nursing certification

Salary range for Registered Nurses- $65,840.24 - $104,150.85
Evening Shift Differential- $2.35 per hour
Night Shift Differential- $3.20 per hour
Weekend Differential- $1.75 per hour
