The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.
This Program Coordinator position is an essential part of the Medical Directors Office (MDO) team and will meaningfully impact all areas of the Medical Staff Services programs. This role will be responsible for development and execution of tasks in support of credentialing, onboarding, quality, education and access programs in the MDO. The Program Coordinator will coordinate a wide variety of processes and projects and provide administrative support to MDO department leadership.
Serve as a point of contact representing the department to other departments, individuals and outside organizations
Participate in and execute administrative processes related to provider credentialing, onboarding, and template change requests
Gather, edit, and disseminate information to the SCCA Medical Staff
Create, edit, and maintain process tracking spreadsheets and forms
General administrative support duties including scheduling and documenting meetings, coordinating travel, catering, and ordering supplies
Many other duties, as assigned
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills and experience interacting with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to solve complex problems with a collaborative approach
Ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in carrying out responsibilities
Experience in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment
Proficiency in MS Office suite including Outlook and Excel
Bachelors degree in a related field
2+ years in an administrative role in a healthcare, nonprofit, or academic environment
Knowledge and experience in process improvement efforts
EMR experience (Epic, ORCA) a plus
