Summary:Under theguidance of the Director, Development Strategy the Development Associate willassist with programming logistics within the Cook Children's Health Foundation.The Associate will be responsible for activities which help to strengthen thedonor's engagement with Cook Children's. The Associate will build and maintaineffective working relationships and establish rapport with key constituents toinclude employees, parent groups, patient families and donors. The Associatewill provide support for Cook Children's Health Foundation's signature events,community programs including Experience the Mission (ETM) and donor givingsocieties. This position is unique because it provides strong opportunities tolearn basic components of a comprehensive development program. This positionsupports the donor engagement team and reports directly to the Director,Development Strategy.
Bachelor's degree required.
Three years of experience with a background in donorrelations, events or fundraising in order to effectively communicate withdonors and prospective donors.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work well withphysicians, senior leadership, administration and outside vendors.
This position requires tremendous detail and thereforestrong organizational skills are a must.
Must work well in a team setting as well as beingself-motivated to ensure deadlines are met.
