The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Pediatric Psychologist. The faculty appointment will be a non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. This psychologist will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the medical school campus. The psychologist in this position will work with specialists in one or more pediatric specialty programs, including asthma and allergy, rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology and neurosurgery, and general surgery. Duties will include working with pediatric inpatients and outpatients, including 1) conducting screenings and diagnostic outpatient evaluations; 2) provision of psychological treatment to children and adolescents with various medical/surgical conditions; 3) teaching in multidisciplinary pediatric and mental health training programs; 4) involvement in scholarly activities, including research. Clinical experience with children and adolescents in pediatric settings is required. A PhD in clinical psychology and APA-approved internship are required, at least one of which has a focus on clinical child or pediatric psychology training.
Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD in a clinical psychology training program and completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. At least one of training programs must have been APA-approved. The individual will also have completed a fellowship in pediatric or clinical child and adolescent psychology and have experience in a pediatric medical setting.
Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full-time position. Start date immediate after licensure in Illinois. Applications will be evaluated as received. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
