Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking additional BC/BE pediatric surgeons to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery to meet the growing clinical demands of Rutgers Health and RWJBarnabas Health. We seek surgeons at assistant/associate professor levels who are passionate about patient care, surgical education and research.
This is a full-time employed position within Rutgers Health, the most comprehensive academic health care provider organization in New Jersey, combining an unprecedented scope of clinical care, research and education. It has a single focus: helping people and populations get well and stay well. Rutgers is a leading national research university and New Jersey's preeminent comprehensive public institution of higher education. Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is located in central New Jersey with easy access to the Jersey shore, New York and Philadelphia. It is the principle academic partner for RWJBarnabas Health.
RWJBarnabas Health covers a population of 5 million people with more than 25,000 live births per year. A full complement of pediatric surgical service is already in place, along with a full spectrum of medical pediatric specialties. This is a university-based practice that supports three children's hospitals, including The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (BMSCH), Monmouth Medical Center and St. Barnabas Medical Center. There are robust pediatric ED, NICU and PICU at all sites, as well as a dedicated pediatric OR at BMSCH. There is an established culture of clinical excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, quality and safety.
Minimum Education and Experience:
The applicant must hold a MD degree and be board certified in General Surgery. Applicants must be qualified for a medical license in the State of New Jersey.
