The University of Pittsburgh, Division of Hematology/Oncology, is currently recruiting a Clinical Research Assistant (CRA).
The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the research projects in the division of Hematology/Oncology. The successful candidate will assist Principal Investigator (PI), other investigators, and research staff in identifying potential research subjects, reviewing medical records, collecting, and processing any protocol required specimens according to the methods defined in the research protocols and established standards and practices. The incumbent is responsible for collecting research data, processing, organizing research samples for storage and shipping, labeling and recording, operating simple lab equipment such as a centrifuge, delivering specimens to other departments, and other duties directed by the PI or division Clinical Research Manager.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organizational, and computer skills are necessary. BA or BS is required with 1-2 years of experience. Experience in coordinating clinical trials is preferred. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Flexible daylight hours may be necessary. This position is located at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. TB test and PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
BA or BS is required with 1-2 years of experience. Experience in coordinating clinical trials is preferred. Regulatory experience within the University of Pittsburgh a plus.
