The Project Assistant provides administrative support, data analysis support and project management support to departmental projects and programs as needed. This role serves as a hub of organization and coordination for team deliverables, allowing subject matter experts to focus on more technical aspects of their work. This role develops and maintains project status reports, basic analytical reports, presentations and other communication materials for the department.
Evaluate and summarize weekly / monthly project(s) reports, identifying successful completions of milestones and deliverables, change management process and any problems or issues and any follow-up action required. Communicate status, issues and risks effectively to client and internal team members.
Analyzes cost, clinical, operational or technical data to develop summary reports to team members or departmental leadership
Educate the business about the contents of dashboards and reports.
Conduct research in support of departmental projects and activities
Develop working proficiency in major departmental technology platforms
Use Continuous Improvement principles, methods and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of departmental processes
Participate in internal organizational meetings.
Knowledge and understanding of key healthcare operational, regulatory, clinical and population trends is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products, specifically, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access and Project.
Familiarity with data analysis concepts and methods
Experience with basic project management concepts and activities
Understanding of databases, relational models, data integrity
Health care industry experience, including health care operations, and financial analysis.
Analytically oriented; health care experience preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
