The main purpose of this position is to ensure that the proper pre-certification is obtained via the insurance website and/or physician office. Additionally, the insurance company must be provided notification of admission. Additionally, this staff person works to ensure effective patient access to hospital services. He/she supports departmental policies, practices, and initiatives, plus organizational goals as they relate to the 4 Pillars of Quality, Cost, Service, and Growth. Participates in creating a positive environment for patient and colleague satisfaction.
High school education or equivalent with emphasis on computer literacy and communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Relevant experience in Health care work and/or Associate's or Bachelor s degree preferred
Successful completion of all orientation programs.
