Summary: The Manager Health Plan Applications is responsible for day to day management of assigned Application and Technical analysts for the support and optimization of an assigned set of applications and resources, in order to maintain appropriate functionality and performance utilizing established CCHCS methodologies. These applications include but are not limited to claims processing, case management, care management, government reporting, decision support tools, process flow tools etc. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: communication with vendors and customers, participation in process improvement initiatives, development of short-term and long-term technology and application plans consistent with the goals of the Health Plan and IT resource management, including day-to-day assignments, workloads and schedules, prioritization of issues and tasks, and other administrative tasks such as performance reviews, interview/hiring processes, and budget preparation support.
Bachelor's degree with five years work experience in a IT management supervisor level position; or Bachelors degree with one to two years work experience in a management supervisor level plus five years experience in Information Technology; or Eight years experience in Information Technology
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in contract negotiations and vendor management a plus.
Healthcare application support experience strongly desired.
