Under the direction of the Clinical Research Manager and Senior Regulatory Affairs Coordinator, this position is responsible for overseeing protocol development and developing institutional informed consent documents for Hematology/Oncology protocols. The candidate is responsible for all aspects of submitting protocols to the University of Pittsburgh Institutional Review Board (IRB) and central IRBs for review.
The candidate will be responsible for various aspects of clinical trials research including, but not limited to, assisting in data collection analysis, monitoring protection of subjects and subject's rights through IRB regulations, preparation of adverse event experience reports, construction, and monitoring of case report forms and report preparation. In addition, they will be responsible for managing a system for planning and workflow related to the clinical research activities and the IRB committee.
A Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or health-related area is required and one-year experience in a clinical research environment is preferred. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
This position is located at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. TB test and PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment. EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
