The Division of Infectious Disease at Seattle Children's Hospital/University of Washington are seeking 2 full-time faculty members as Assistant Professors (without tenure due to funding) or Associate Professors (without tenure due to funding), on the Clinician-Educator track. Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a 12-month service period with an anticipated start date of Spring or Summer 2020.
The clinical responsibilities for these positions will include attending on the Infectious Diseases Inpatient Consult Service and in the Infectious Diseases Clinic.
Position #1: The administrative responsibilities include assuming the role of Associate Medical direction of Infection Prevention.
Position #2: The administrative responsibilities include assuming the role of Associate Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship.
For either position there are also potential opportunities to assume a role leading quality improvement for the ID Division.
The Clinician-Educator track is appropriate for faculty members who will spend the majority of their time on clinical and/or administrative work. The track also provides the opportunity for and expectation of focused scholarship in the applicant's chosen area.
The Division of Infectious Diseases is a dynamic group of 21 faculty members focused on excellence in research, clinical care, teaching, and quality improvement. Sixteen faculty members share the clinical responsibilities.

Applicants must have an MD/DO (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified or board eligible in pediatric infectious disease.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or foreign equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
